Satterfield Visits S H S
Lisa Satterfield
February 27, 2008- It's always a treat when one of our former students returns to campus. Lisa Satterfield, a former U S M audiology graduate student, was attending a conference in New Orleans earlier this week, and she decided to take a little time to "swing up" to Hattiesburg for a visit.
Lisa's four loves
Lisa went far beyond just dropping by to say "hello"- she shared a great power point presentation with our Au.D. students describing her experiences as Audiology Consultant to the Department of Health Services for the State of California.
Lisa, husband Tony and their four [yes, four] children [ages 3 - 12] reside in the town of Dixon, California, which is a short drive from Sacremento. Lisa told us that she was very unsure about the move to "The Golden State"- she originally "gave it" two years. Well, six years later, the family is still there, and she's thoroughly fallen in love with the area.
What a morning- a wonderful opportunity to learn about pediatric audiology in California, a chance to "catch up" on friends, and a contact for students who may be interested in an externship out West.
