C A I D Sponsors 'Strong Signs' Workshop
April 3, 2008- C A I D sponsored a special workshop for its members- an intense introduction to 'strong' signs; you know, the ones that, shall we say, would probably not occur in a conversation with your folks. :)
What's a workshop without a T-shirt?
CAID president David "Ace" Acevedo welcomed participants.
Instructors/interpreters Jerry and Margo Buisson explained that knowledge of this specialized vocabulary is often necessary in a variety of situations that their sign students will encounter in the real world. Both Jerry and Margo have conducted these workshops previously, and it's always amazing to watch them inject humor into the session while maintaining their professionalism - a much needed balance for keeping participants both attentive and at ease.
