August 26, 2008- With all the chaos and confusion that comes with the start of a new fall semester, we forgot to tell you that our department has three new faculty members.

Christina Perigoe

Amy Rosonet

Jennifer Scott
Christina Perigoe is our newest colleague in Education of the Deaf. Dr. Perigoe is working closely with Dr. Henry Teller in developing the department's new master's degree program that centers on Auditory Verbal Therapy [ A V T ]. Dr. Perigoe and six new students are spending lots of time together both in the classroom here in Hattiesburg as well as in practicum sessions at Magnolia Speech School in Jackson.
Amy Rosonet joined us over the summer as a clinical instructor in the Speech-Language Clinic. Amy brings a wealth of public school, rehab and home health experience to the job which will serve her well as she begins working with our new fall class of S L P students. She'll have everyone up and running in no time.
Jennifer Scott joins us fresh from a doctoral program that she completed at The University of Louisiana in Lafayette. Jennifer's been busy preparing her course lectures and figuring-out all those cords that run from her computer to the data projector. :)
If you see either Dr. Perigoe, Ms. Rosonet, or Dr. Scott in the hall, be sure to introduce yourself. They'd enjoy meeting you.
