Common Core of Data by the Institute of Education Science (IES) allows users to create customized tables from national statistics on schools and school districts, students and staff, and fiscal data.

Condition of Education is a searchable site by IES.

Digest of Education Statistics by IES is an annual primary resource publication on education statistics for all educational levels for U.S. and individual states. It includes enrollment, number of schools and colleges, number of teachers, finances, degrees earned, income of graduates, vocational education, adult education, and international education.

Education Indicators: An International Perspective by IES includes indicators from a variety of sources and snapshots of the U.S. educational system compared to those in other countries.

Education Statistics Quarterly by IES is a useful overview of all NCES products released during the quarter.

Fed Stats Kids has a link to "Map Stats for Kids" and links to statistical agency Web pages for kids in elementary through high school including fun facts, games, project ideas, and career information.

Mississippi Assessment & Accountability Reporting System (MAARS)

National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), by the Department of Education collects and analyzes data on education in the US and abroad. Data are available for district, and state levels, revenues and expenditures at the state level, and library statistical surveys for academic and public libraries.

Occupational Outlook Handbook issued by the Bureau of Labor Statistics includes what workers do on the job, working conditions, training and education needed, job prospects.

Projections of Education Statistics by IES is biennial and includes enrollment, high school graduates, earned degrees, instructional staff, expenditures, and 10 years of projections.

School District Demographics by IES is based on the 2000 Census and includes data on race and ethnicity variables.

School Finance Data from the Census Bureau includes government revenues and expenditures for elementary and secondary education by school district.

What Works Clearinghouse: Practice Guides provides practical recommendations for educators that address challenges in classrooms and schools. The guides were developed by a panel of nationally recognized experts and consist of actionable recommendations, strategies for overcoming potential roadblocks, and indication of the strength of evidence supporting each recommendation: ies.ed.gov/ncee/wwc/publications/practiceguides/
