Jerry Alliston, Ph.D.
Dr. Alliston holds a bachelor's in psychology, a Master of Social Work degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
He currently serves as the Coordinator for Community Inclusion and Volunteer Service at the Institute for Disability Studies.
In the School of Social Work, he serves in an adjunct role and has taught various undergraduate and graduate social work courses.
His areas of research are disaster case management, volunteerism, and transition services for youth with disabilities. He has spoken at local, regional and national conferences on various disability-related issues.
Dr. Alliston is a proud father of two girls, husband of a fellow social worker and enjoys life and family time.
