Project Crossroads has contracted with the School of Social Work at the University of Southern Mississippi to conduct the evaluation component of their 3-year federally funded Safe Schools/Healthy Students grant. The evaluation component of Project Crossroads will assess 6 required project goals along with the programs and services offered to the students and families in three school districts. The three school districts involved in Project Crossroads include Greenville, Leland, and Sunflower districts all of which are located in the Mississippi Delta.

The project has been continued for an additional nine months to include the 2005-2006 academic year. Each academic year, the evaluation team administers surveys to students, parents and teachers to learn about their perceptions of safety in their schools and neighborhoods.
