Strategic plan: education of the deaf

The education of the deaf program is developing a five year strategic plan of service delivery for children who are deaf/hard of hearing in the state of Mississippi.

Members of the planning team include staff and faculty from the University of Southern Mississippi, the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Batson Children's Hospital, the Mississippi State Department of Health Early Hearing Detection and Intervention program, and Mississippi schools and programs for children with hearing loss.

Our goal is to infuse both the undergraduate and graduate programs with current evidence-based practices in order to prepare professionals to use teaching strategies and ever-improving hearing technology to support children with all levels of hearing loss.
