Sport Security Table Top Exercise (TTX)

Description:

Sport organizations should conduct exercises to test plans in place and enhance the staff’s awareness of roles and responsibilities during an incident scenario. Discussion-based exercises defined by the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) familiarize participants with current plans and policies, or may be used to develop new plans and policies. Types of discussion based exercises include: seminars, workshops, table-top exercises, or game simulations.

Sport organizations should conduct an exercise workshop each calendar year in which they develop a multi-year training and exercise plan. The plan should include: 1) training and exercise priorities, 2) planning activities which will take place prior to an exercise, allowing exercises to serve as a true validation of previous training; 2) all exercises in which the entity participates; and 3) employing a ‘building-block approach” in which training and exercise activities gradually escalate in complexity.

The contents of this workshop will include:

• An all-hazards sport incident scenario-based table top exercise compliant with HSEEP
• Participants are provided with an Exercise Situation Manual (SITMAN)
• Instructors utilize computer-generated models
• Subject matter expertise provided

Delivery:

1 ½ day workshop
