Strategic Planning

Phase I: Community and Campus Dialogues

In eleven sessions in Hattiesburg and across the Gulf Coast with more than 350 participants that included students, faculty, staff, alumni and community leaders, we engaged the Southern Miss community to identify the strengths of the university and the aspirations of its people. This process was created based on the assumption that individuals and organizations are most effective when moving in the direction of their hopes and dreams.

These dialogues engaged participants in constructive process to create inspired action. We are beginning to build metrics and timelines around these Forces of Innovation and Areas of Strategic Focus in the university’s Strategic Planning Committee.

Thank you for being an important part of designing our future together!
