About the Union and Programs Department

The Union and Programs Department, made up of the Union Administrative office, Event Services office and Office of Student Activities, provides state-of-the-art facilities with student-centered programs that enhance recruitment and retention of students, faculty and staff.

Mission

To provide experiences, services and programs for all members of the university family - students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and guests. We provide opportunities for citizenship, social responsibility and leadership development of the people we serve through cultural, social, educational and recreational programs.

As the heart of the university community, the Union and Programs Department complements the academic programs and enhances the overall educational experience and quality of campus life at Southern Miss.
