Garrett Cimino, LMSW



Garrett Cimino is a Licensed Master Social Worker and serves as a counselor for Student Counseling Services. Originally from the Los Angeles area, Garrett received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Utah and his master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern Mississippi. His work experience includes working for the USM School of Social Work and SAMHSA in the area of disaster mental health related to Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill as well as clinical internships at Pine Grove in Hattiesburg and the USM Counseling Center. Garrett is Level II trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Garret enjoys working with college students with issues revolving around  trauma, grief, LGBTQ+,  and identity development.
