University Counseling Center

Southern Miss Student Counseling Services provides quality counseling services to Southern Miss students by promoting sound mental health and the coping skills necessary for successful pursuit of their educational and life goals. 

All enrolled students are eligible for services. Upon assessment, SCS licensed professional staff will determine appropriateness and make any needed referral for additional assistance.    SCS offers a full range of counseling services to the students that includes assessment, individual, couple, group and crisis intervention.  To the campus of Southern Miss, SCS offers prevention, education and training opportunities in the realm of mental health and well-being.  SCS also offer campus-wide support and leadership in the realm of crisis prevention, intervention, and postvention.  For faculty and staff, SCS offers consultation and referral services.
