Things are quite busy after the first full week of the fall semester! I must say that I definitely feel like a senior! There's so much going on around campus and around Hattiesburg. I really haven't had any downtime. It's great because there is always something to do this time of year.

Here is a recap of my past couple weeks: GEWW was amazing!!!! Southern Style finally got the chance to show off our prize-winning dance. This past March, we competed against other orientation teams all over the South and won!
The entire week of GEWW was full of fun things for everyone to do. I enjoyed every moment of it. It was great to see several students that I had previously met this summer during Preview sessions. I especially enjoyed watching them painting the Eagle Walk.
Now that classes have started, Greek life has started getting busy with various events. NPHC had its first informational meeting last week. Several people came out to hear about the organizations and showed interest in these historically African American fraternities and sororities. This week is also Greek Week and all fraternities and sororities are busy participating together in a lot of events and service projects.
This week there was also an announcement that a gateway will be built at the front of campus to celebrate the Centennial. I'm sure it's going to be beautiful. I'm so glad to say that I will be graduating in the year of the Centinnial Celebration at Southern Miss! I can already tell that this semester and my entire senior year is going to have a lot in store for me! I can't wait to see what's going to happen!
