The semester is drawing to a close, and it doesn't feel like it should be yet! It's been about 70 or 80 degrees every day (up until today). This time last year it was colder much earlier in the semester. I'm really excited for the Thanksgiving break, though. Although I do love school, I also love to sleep all day every now and then, and that's exactly what I plan to do during my break.
BUT, before that can happen, I have my final interview for Southern Style. Southern Style (if I haven't told you before) is a team of students who help freshmen and transfers get oriented on campus. You may know them as "orientation leaders," but "Southern Style" is more...well, stylish. The team members live on campus during the summer and not only get to know each other better, but get to know new students and make them feel at home at Southern Miss.
In addition to that extracurricular tidbit, I have a few papers for my Political Science class that I need to finish up. The class is called "Great Issues of Politics," and some of the things we have been discussing are health care (of course), the death penalty and homeland security. Although these are important issues which directly affect the masses, I'm not quite an expert in any of these fields...yet.
