Who is Eligible?

The U.S. Department of Education limits the number of program participants, and students are selected on the basis of academic need along with other criteria.

You may be eligible to take advantage of all that the Student Support Services Program has to offer if

1. you are a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
2. you demonstrate an academic need
3. you qualify under one of the following categories:
   • first-generation student (neither parent graduated from a four-year college or university)
   • meet federal guidelines for eligible income
   • have a documented disability (physical or learning)
