Health Insurance

Due to stringent U.S. Health Insurance requirements, we encourage students to opt for Southern Miss health insurance. In order to have the USM Health Insurance waived, the student must show proof of a policy with an equal or higher coverage than the one offered by Southern Miss, which is $250,000.00 (or approximately 173,000 Euros).  

There is an area on your on-line application to mark whether you intend to opt for the Southern Miss policy or if you plan to purchase your own policy. If you decide to purchase your own, you may upload a copy of the policy and proof of enrolment to the Horizons application.
