The Program

The purpose of this research trip is for students to gain first-hand experience in collecting data at tourism sites in the UK. Specifically, the two research questions, building upon existing scholarship, are the representation of slavery at specific UK sites and the representation of the US South from outside of the United States. Students will actively collect, survey and interview data at sites for later analysis and journal article submission as practice for their own dissertation research.
