Exchange program participants pay regular Southern Miss tuition.
In addition, there is a $500 non-refundable program fee. A deposit of $250 is due by the deadline for applications and the remaining $250 is due May 1 (for students applying to go abroad in the fall) and November 1 (for students applying to go abroad in the spring). This fee will be refunded if an applicant is not accepted to participate.

Students participating on an exchange program do not pay housing or meals at USM for their time abroad, but instead they pay directly on-site at the host university abroad.
