Transfer Student Involvement

There are numerous ways you can get involved here at Southern Miss. A great way to start is by checking out the Transfer Student Association as it can be a stepping stone into other activities open to Southern Miss Students. You can also explore different involvement opportunities by going to the Student Activities website.

If you were involved in your previous institution as an ambassador or orientation leader, then we have a few organizations that might interest you.

Also, check with your academic departments and colleges to see if they have an ambassador program.

Another great way to get involved is through sports and intramurals. You can do so by contacting Recreational Sports at 601-266-5405 or usm.edu/recsports.

Transfer Student Association

This student organization strives to be an opportunity for Transfer students to meet one another while supporting each other during each encounter of common issues and concerns experienced by transfer students as they adapt to a new institution of higher learning. The Association also helps promote Southern Miss to prospective transfer students. TSA hopes to be a resource to those who are looking to be connected to the Southern Miss family.
