Move-In Questions and Assistance

Move-In Questions and Assistance

You should move into your residence hall on the assigned day and time.  Early arrivals may be approved on a case-by-case basis, but you must contact Justin Long in the Department of Residence Life at justin.long@usm.edu for permission to move in early.

Residence Life staff will be available to assist you during Move-In Days.  Their office is located on the first floor of Hickman Hall.  You may also contact them by phone at 601.266.4783.  Additonally, information tents will be set up in the Century Park courtyard and in the Freshman Quad during Move-In Days.  Staff and students will be on hand to answer questions or direct you to the right department for assistance.

If for some reason you are dissatisfied with your room assignment or roommate, you can submit a Room Change Request form online at www.usm.edu/residence-life (click "Forms/Requests") beginning at noon on Wednesday, August 21. It is important that you understand that the granting of your request cannot be guaranteed unless space availability permits.  However, Residence Life staff will do their best to accommodate your requests.
