Sean C. Boyd got his start behind the camera as a director, producer and one-man video-producing machine with his company Utv. A member of the Actor's Equity Association, he has acted for regional theatres across the country including the Sacramento Music Circus, the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, the Neil Simon Festival, and the Genesis Shakespeare Company. Boyd also has appeared in a number of commercials, on Court TV's "North Mission Road" and "LAPD: Scientific Investigations" and independent films, including "Upside Out" with Olympia Dukakis.

Boyd is a recognized faculty member of Michael Lugering's Expressive Actor technique and was one of the first to attain the distinction after four years of mentoring. This innovative and practical approach to training the "total actor," the traditionally disparate disciplines of acting, movement and voice are synthesized in a unified method of training. Additionally, he has invested most of his personal training towards the understanding and development of the physical life of the actor; exploring the work of Chekhov, Grotowski, Laban, Yoga and Commedia Dell' Arte.

As a fight director and instructor, Boyd has directed fights for regional theatres and independent film features in Nevada, California, Oklahoma and Missouri, including the Sacramento Music Circus, Nevada Conservatory Theatre, Cockroach Theatre, and Genesis Shakespeare Festival, as well as the new 2007 national tour of "Camelot" with Michael York. He is a recognized fight instructor and advanced combatant with Dueling Arts International, and actor/combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Shotokan Karate. Boyd has been teaching martial arts and theatrical combat for over 20 years and has worked with Dueling Arts International since January 2000.
