Assistant Professor/Technical Director
Ben Lauer started his theatrical career playing the part of Roger in a high school production of Noises Off in Ankara, Turkey. Ben has worked in multiple regional theatres and institutions of higher education filling various technical roles. Most recently, he served as the Associate Technical Director for New Harmony Theatre’s 2011 summer season in Indiana. Ben was employed as the Scene Shop Manager at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC from 2007-2009.
As a graduate student at West Virginia University, Ben served as the Technical Director for multiple main stage shows. He also served as the scenic designer for Julius Caesar and lighting designer for the children’s show Willie Wonka Jr.
Ben is excited to begin his teaching career at The University of Southern Mississippi.
