Stacy Reischman, originally from California, received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Santa Cruz and her Mater of Fine Arts in directing labanotated scores from The Ohio State University. While on the faculty at The Ohio State University and Kenyon College, Reischman directed the works of Doris Humphrey, Senta Driver, and Vera Blaine. She has performed the works of such noted choreographers as Mel Wong, Victoria Uris, Merce Cunningham, Tandy Beal, and Ron Brown and has appeared with BCQ Dance and Total Theatre, Inc.

She has produced her performance/choregraphy throughout the Midwest, as well as in Boston, San Francisco, and New York City. Reischman has served on faculty at Stivers School for the Arts in Dayton OH, and at BalletMet in Columbus OH. Her technique and research interests include aerial dance, solo performance and the creative potential of labanotation.

She teaches labanotation, modern dance technique and dance composition, as well as choreographs for the Southern Miss Repertory Dance Company in the Department of Theatre and Dance. Reischman's bias in movement reflects her training in the Cunningham, Humphrey/Limon, and Alexander techniques that has been infused with her interest in strengthening risk-taking, alternative supports, musicality, and exploring range of motion.
