More Info on Learning Space Design
In recent years, learning space design has become a topic of significant discussion in education. Learning is no longer considered limited to the classroom (traditional or virtual). In fact, creating learning environments that promote learning throughout the entire campus has become a strategic effort at many schools and universities.
The Think Center provides space that encourages collaborative thinking to build ideas for learning. The work areas and collaborative technologies available in the center support students interacting with each other and their instructional material. The space also offers faculty opportunities to explore strategies that support instruction and achieve desired outcomes. The facilities are designed to enable observation, collaboration, and interaction.
Think Center members can use Room 319 which is equipped with modular, mobile, collaborative furnishings to provide a space for students to work in small groups, engage with others, and experience real-world team and learning environments. Room 318 is an experimental/incubator classroom that supports the integration of design thinking approaches with teaching and learning.
