Spring Lecture Series
The spring lecture series entitled "2014 Economic Development and Entrepreneurship in Mississippi's Energy Sector" will feature the challenges and opportunities associated with the oil and gas industry in a lunch-and-learn format on three consecutive Fridays. Each lunch session will run from 11:45am to 1:15pm.
The series will begin on February 21st with Matt Fry, Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas, addressing oil and gas extraction from an environmental perspective. On February 28th, Patrick Sullivan, Executive Director of MS Energy Institute will address trends on the horizon for Mississippi's oil and gas industries. Concluding the lecture series is Charlotte Batson, Owner of Batson & Company Energy Consultants and CEO of Tuscaloosa Energy Services on March 7th. Ms Batson will address oil and gas extraction from the entrepreneur, small business, service provider, and end-user perspective.
