Office of Student Activities
The Office of Student Activities at the University of Southern Mississippi aspires to provide superior customer service and valuable resources by fostering community, educating servant leaders, and giving guidance to student organizations that will initiate and maintain effective student leadership as well as life-changing experiences in the university community and the world.
The Office of Student Activities is located in the R.C. Cook University Union, room 229. We offer an incredible range of organizations to accommodate the diverse interests of Southern Miss students attending classes at the Hattiesburg Campus, on the Gulf Coast, at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory and Stennis. Southern Miss hosts over 251 student organizations that offer excellent co-curricular experiences in student life. Students are able to become more active in the university and gain valuable skills that will enhance their personal growth and self-awareness.
After viewing the list of student organizations if you see
a need to charter a new one, just review the Guide
for Chartering a New Student Organization. We are happy to help you
start a new student organization that will enhance the lives of Southern
Miss students and help make the University better than you found it. In
addition to the above-mentioned services, our office also provides the following
