The Subcommittee on Academic Priorities is charged with developing criteria and a review mechanisms for programs within academic units.
Co-chaired by Bill Powell and Tim Rehner, the UPC-AP began its work in January 2010.
The UPC-AP process draws on the work of Robert Dickeson, author of Prioritizing Academic Programs and Services (2010), the 1999 edition of which informed the Faculty Senate proposal on the UPC formation and process. Two copies of Dickeson's book are available on reserve in Cook Library, with three critical chapters available on electronic reserve under the course listing UPC100.
