Background
The Linux User's Group is involved in range of activities that support
the use of open source software built around GNU/Linux and BSD.
What we do
-
We meet every other Tuesday at 6:00pm in SH 303 during the semester
to discuss topics related to the use of open source software.
-
We support the local Linux Community in the Hattiesburg Area
through several Installfests that we organize each year. These
are community activities at which we help interested users learn
more about Linux and open source software by assisting in installing Linux on
their computers.
-
We provide a forum through the Universities Listserv to allow members
of the University and local Linux communities the opportunity to ask
questions about Linux, or to help others through their expertise.
We are planning to coordinate meetings which will highlight events
within the progam.
If you are interested in participating in our activities, or in
learning more about activities and events, please browse our site. If you
cannot find something, or would like additional information on any topic
please contact us. Thank you.
