Sustainable community development was the topic of the lecture titled "The Greening of
Southern Miss" by local architect and planner James Polk.
Polk is known for promoting livable communities designed on the "village" model and his innovative design work. In the lecture, Polk addresses green design on the Southern Miss campus and opportunities for developing a sustainable relationship with the surrounding community.
