Visual Arts Staff

Cathy Ventura serves as Assistant to the Chair of the Department of Art & Design. Since 2001 she has worked for the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures, the Department of Political Science, International Development, and International Affairs.

Cathy is completing her dissertation in Higher Education Administration through Southern Miss’s Department of Educational Leadership & Research. She has a Specialist degree in educational administration and a master's of science in Political Science. Cathy completed undergraduate work also in political science with a minor in criminal justice.

Cathy is the proud mother of three daughters, Angela, 27, Francesca, 24, and Gina, 18. Angela and Francesca are graduates of College of Business at USM, and Gina is a senior at Oak Grove High School. In her spare time, Cathy enjoys reading popular fiction, watching HGTV, and participating in the lay ministry of her church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
