The architectural coatings market continues to develop higher performing paints to meet customerdemands amid the pressure of rising costs. Making the most of each raw material is crucial toobtaining favorable results. Using polymeric hiding technologies to optimize the use of TiO2 offersformulators the ability to use some of the recovered cost to improve performance. Further enhancements in performance are achievable by adjusting binder and extenders level and using the proper additives. Different reformulation options, balancing cost and performance, will be presented.
