Bill Leightner has been associated with the Paints, Coatings and related markets for more than 25 years. Bill started his career as a Chemist for Steelcote Manufacturing after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Since then he has worked in several technical roles as a Chemist, Lab Manager, Technical Service Manager, and Director for companies specializing in high performance maintenance coatings and wood coatings including Porter Paint, International Paint (Akzo), and General Finishes. He has also held commercial positions as Vice-President of Sales, Business Manager, Sales Manager, and Director of Sales for several companies including CL McGuire Co., Essential Industries Raw Material Division, and General Finishes. ![]() Bill came to ADM in 2011 as Technical Sales Manager, Paints, Coatings, & Inks. His primary role is to spearhead sales of ADM’s innovative Dispersants, a bio-based technology based on ADM’s renewable resource platforms. Bill has several published articles related to coatings innovations and technological advances. He is a past president of both the Louisville Society for Coatings Technology and the Wisconsin Paint Association, and has served on national committees related to the advancement of corrosion protection for the coatings industry. |
