2005 -2006 Miss Black and Gold

Miss Ashley Brown
Ashley Brown is a junior Marketing major with minors in Fashion Merchandising and Spanish, from Crystal Springs, MS. She is currently a Resident Assistant, a member of the Resident Assistant Advisory Board, and Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. Ashley has also served as an active member of I.D.E.A.L. Women, Freshmen Leadership Council, AASO, and RHA. She is on the Dean's List, a Leadership Scholar, Teens Against Tobacco Use, Copiah County Ministerial Alliance, and John F. and Eula Mae Baugh SYSCO Scholarship Recipient. Ashley enjoys engaging in community service projects, reading, writing, talking, and being with the people she loves. During her reign she plans to implement a service project entitiled "So What If I Have AIDS?" This project will be directed towards minority women to enhance their knowledge about the HIV virus, AIDS, and other sexually transmitted infections. After graduation she plans to travel and become a fashion marketing executive and eventually own her own clothing line and boutique.

Miss Bianca Maureen Fredrick
Bianca Maureen Frederick was born on May 28th, 1984 to Mr. and Mrs. Thor (Wendy) Augustus. Bianca resides in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Her hobbies include playing basketball, running, participating in community service, and socializing. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, a member of V.I.S.I.O.N, and the University Activities Council. She was inducted to Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society in Spring 2004. Her philosophy the she lives by is God + Academics +Success. Her ambition is to become a successful orthodontist and to have her own practice.
2003 - 2004 Miss Black and Gold

Miss Carolyn Brooks
Carolyn Brooks is now a senior Speech Communication major from The University of Southern Mississippi, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Intended to graduate in May 2006, Carolyn will pursue her graduate degree in Speech Communication beginning next fall, although undecided of the place at this time. In 2003, Carolyn competed and was crowned Miss Black and Gold for the distinguished Mu Xi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. She went on to win the State Pageant and was also crowned Miss Black and Gold for the State of Mississippi. She has enjoyed her experience representing Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. which will always hold a special place in her heart. After obtaining a doctoral degree Carolyn is interested in motivational speaking and conducting research involving the effectiveness of health campaigns.

Miss Lilli Alicia Evans
Lilli Alicia Evans is a currently a law student at The University of Mississippi School of Law in Oxford, Mississippi. She attended The University of Southern Mississippi from 2002-2004 and ultimately received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Tougaloo College in June of 2005. In 2002, Lilli was crowned Miss Black and Gold for the MuXi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, and she went on to win the state pageant and was crowned Miss Black and Gold for the State of Mississippi. Lilli intends to graduate law school in May of 2008 and practice law in her hometown of Jackson, Mississippi.
