College of Arts & Letters Undergraduate Conference
The College of Arts and Letters Conference is an exciting opportunity to work with other Liberal Arts undergraduates, as well as build up your resume and collaborate with top professors. This sort of conference has never been hosted here at the University of Southern Mississippi, so you are a part of something exciting and new! This conference will give all of us in the College of Arts and Letters a chance to work together and learn about one another’s research and ideas.

Conference Registration
Professors of the College of Arts and Letters Conference will be receiving information about the conference to discuss with you in class, but here are the basics:
- The CoAL Conference will take place in the Liberal Arts Building on 17 April, 2010. It will begin in the morning with a breakfast and meet and greet, consist of several panels running simultaneously, and end with a keynote speaker and prizes. Business attire is expected.
- The conference attendees can either read a paper aloud for 15 minutes, or execute a 15 minute presentation; both are accepted styles at an undergraduate conference. The attendees should be warned against the use of PowerPoint, as we may not have technology access to all the rooms in the Liberal Arts Building.
- Finally, the attendees should feel free to ask their professors for help, as well as ask the conference coordinator (at coalconference2010@gmail.com).
And remember, just because the History Honor Society is hosting this, does not mean it is just for History papers, we welcome your interdisciplinary papers and would be delighted to see attendees from all the areas of the College of Arts and Letters.
