April 27, 2008- Members of our first class of Au.D. students were recognized this weekend. A small, intimate gathering was held at the Thad Cochran Center to recognize Rachel Bernard Nashville, TN], Holly McLain [Richton, MS], and Sharon Warren [Raleigh, MS].
The White Coat Ceremony symbolizes a 'passing of the torch' to the next generation of practitioners in the profession. Dr. Martha Saunders, Southern Miss President, did the honors as faculty, staff, and invited guests looked on.
Rachel, Holly, and Sharon will begin their externship experience in the Fall and are scheduled to graduate in May of 2009. Needless to say, we are all very proud of the members of this first graduating class and wish them much success.
Many thanks to Virginia Berry and the long list of other individuals who worked quietly behind the scenes to make this very special event possible.
Enjoy the photos and the souvenir scans of the program.
