Instructions for Logging Into
Southern’s Online Accessible Records (SOAR)

The following set of instructions will help you gain access to SOAR:

1. To access SOAR, you will need your student ID number (also know as emplid) and password. These can be obtained by contacting iTech-
(601)266-4357.

You can find SOAR on the Web by clicking the following link or typing http://www.usm.edu into your Web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, etc.).

On the Southern Miss hompage, locate the Quick Links dropdown Menu, click the down arrow, and select SOAR.

NOTE: The SOAR login page can also be accessed directly by clicking on the following link or entering http://www.usm.edu/soar into your Web browser.

2. Once you have located SOAR’s Web page, simply click on SOAR LOGIN.

3. After the page loads, enter your student ID number in the User ID box and your password in the Password box and click on the Sign In button.
