Revolutionaries who shaped the modern world (from Thomas Paine and Mary Wollstonecraft to Simón Bolivar and Mahatma Gandhi) often found temporary shelter in London. In this course we explore London as home to ideas that shook empires and toppled governments, from Boston to Mumbai, living London through the eyes of revolutionaries, as well as their defenders and detractors.
