Graduate Assistantship Opportunities

Graduate Assistantships are available to qualified graduate students on a competitive basis. Graduate Assistant positions are available within the Campus Recreation, Intercollegiate Athletics, and the National Center for Spectator Sport Safety and Security on the Southern Miss campus.

Students must be accepted as a graduate student and complete all necessary applicant procedures through the Graduate School in order to be eligible. The prospective student then needs to contact the person in the area of interest by clicking on the USM link to that specific area, sending a resume, and contacting them directly to set up an interview. Generally, Graduate Assistant positions include tuition remission of 9-12 semester hours each semester, and/or a monthly stipend. All graduate students must be full-time students and maintain a 3.0 GPA each semester.
