Southern Miss Theatre is a broadcast venue for Britain’s illustrious National Theatre and is proud to present Frankenstein on January 16, 17 at 7:00pm and January 19 at 2:00pm and 6:00pm.

Performances in London are ‘live captured’ with the finest High Definition technology and then subsequently broadcast to venues the world over, allowing for world class productions, acclaimed actors, and groundbreaking companies to be seen here in southern Mississippi.

The broadcasts are made possible through generous private donations and with additional financial support provided by the Dean’s Office of the College of Arts and Letters.

Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein's bewildered creature is cast out into a and hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the friendless Creature determines to track own his creator and strike a terrifying deal. Oscar-winner Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting) directs a sensational production with Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek, BBC's Sherlock) and Jonny Lee Miller (Trainspotting, CBS's Elementary) alternating roles as Victor Frankenstein and his creature.

The live broadcast of Frankenstein will be held in the Theatre and Dance Building, Tatum Theatre. Tickets are $15 for the public, $10 for students, and $7 for groups of 20 or more.
