Our Nights at Thoreau series continues with North Pole Ecology.  This overnight camp for 3rd-6th grade children will teach kids about how animals adapt to live in cold climates.  We will learn about specific adaptations, create our own cold-weather creatures, play holiday-themed games, and spend some time roasting marshmallows by a toasty campfire. The total cost for the program is $40 ($36 or $32 for Friends of Lake Thoreau members) and includes snacks and breakfast for the following morning. Participants can be dropped off between 6:00 P.M. and 6:30 P.M. on December 1st, and can be picked up between 8:00 A.M. and 8:30 A.M, December 2nd. Be sure to have your children dress warmly as we will be outside for extended periods of time.

We hope to see you at Thoreau!
