The English Graduate Organization and the Center for Writers are hosting Bodies of Work: The Human Body in Various Forms, a conference to showcase critical and creative scholarly work. The topic of the body allows for a broad range of inquiry and conversation between many communities, from athletes to sociologists to grandparents to artists. The main objective of the conference is to be both organized by and inclusive of all types of bodies and disciplines. 

Undergraduate and graduate students across disciplines are encouraged to participate in the conference as a presenter or attendee. On Saturday, March 4, a reception and reading featuring Beth Ann Fennelly, the Poet Laureate of Mississippi will be held at Oddfellows Art Gallery, Downtown Hattiesburg from 7-9 pm on Mar. 4.
