James Nova is Second Trombone of the Pittsburgh Symphony and an avid John Williams fan.  In addition to his duties in the orchestra, James has created a cult following on SoundCloud with his AMAZING overdubs. He arranges John Williams scores for trombone and records all the parts (soprano trombone to contrabass trombone).  Not only will he perform his music with the Southern Miss Trombone Choir, but he also will be giving an overdubbing music technology master class as part of his residency.  In addition to the Southern Miss Trombone Choir, members of the Southern Miss Percussion Studio, Dr. Colin McKenzie (Associate Director of Bands), the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, and the School of Mass Communication & Journalism are collaborating on these events.  Selections for the Monday evening Trombone at the Movies concert include music from Ben-Hur, Indiana Jones, Green Hornet, JFK, Superman, and Star Wars.
