Are you terrified of spiders? Of course you are because you are normal.  Nevertheless, you can come and face your fears as we hike around Lake Thoreau at night and watch fearless spider experts wrangle some of the coolest spiders in south Mississippi.  If you are too terrified to walk around the woods in the dark, then you can stay in our Educational Center and watch the Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode in which they skewer the 1958 classic, 'Earth vs. the Spider'.  Either way you cannot help but have fun because this event (as always) is sponsored by your friendly neighborhood brewery, Southern Prohibition.  $10 admission covers food, beverages, and all the spiders you can handle.  This event is free for Friends of Lake Thoreau.  Admission is limited to victims/patrons that are 21 years old and up. Proceeds go to support Lake Thoreau Environmental Center.
