About Us

Founded in 2016, the Center for Faculty Development provides faculty members with collaborative and individual opportunities to advance teaching and learning.  Operating under the Office of the Provost, the Center for Faculty Development provides services and resources that address pedagogy, procedures, and methods for academic discovery and engagement.

Located in the International Center, Suite 319, the Center for Faculty Development serves as a place for faculty to gather with colleagues, to meet in small groups, or to work independently.  We provide reserved space for scheduled sessions as well as unscheduled, informal space for faculty members to visit at any time during our open hours.

Our programs include such offerings as:

  • New Faculty Orientation and First Year Experience
  • Faculty Working Groups
  • Teaching Forums
  • ACUE Faculty Institute
  • Workshops and seminars

Normal operations are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.  Alternate arrangements may be made to use the Center; call 601-266-4688.
