Is there a list of who must take which courses?

Can I get a list that describes the course objectives?

Who is eligible to take the online compliance courses?

Eligible personnel include each of the following: all students, all student employees, all adjuncts, and all benefit eligible faculty and staff.  All personnel who are eligible have been assigned the courses free of charge in an effort to increase understanding of the topics and awareness of the resources available.  Please note this is not a random enrollment of select personnel.

Where do you check if you have not received the email with the registration link?

Check your following email folders to see if the email has been routed their by your email program:

  • Junk Mail folder in Outlook;
  • Clutter (folder in Outlook 2013) that retains emails in it that are determined to not be important; and
  • Check your Spam folder in Gmail.

How can you log into the course without the personalized link?

Yes, navigate to https://slate.workplaceanswers.com/UnivSM/ and enter you CampusID and network password.  Enter your Campus ID with the preceding w. Then from the menu on the left click Take Your Courses which is listed below the Quick Links heading.  The system will display your MyTraining.  Click on the specific course name to launch the course.

What do you do if you are a student and cannot log into the online system using your CampusID and network password?

Reattempt logging into the system. If you believe that you may have forgotten your password, please reset your email password by going to the appropriate link below:

If the issue persists after the password reset or if you are sure you are entering the correct information, please contact the Office of Compliance and Ethics at the following email address so that we can research and resolve your access issue: compliance@usm.edu.

What do you do if you are a benefit-eligible faculty, staff, or adjunct and cannot log into the online system using your EmplID and network password?

How do you access the course from the MyTraining page?

Click on the name of the course to launch the course.

Where do I view the policies that are reviewed within the compliance courses?

View the Policies page.

Are all student employees required to complete the compliance courses?

Yes, unless they are only employed during the summer as an authorized adult/program staff facilitating camps.  Authorized adults/program staff must complete the Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention course. 

Are the courses all accessible? 

The only courses that are currently not accessible are the FCOI courses:  for additional information, see the FCOI FAQ.  We are in the process of making those accessible.  As to other courses, if you have difficulty accessing any portions of this website with adaptive technology or because of a disability, please contact Jennifer Lewis at 601-266-4469 or email compliance@usm.edu
