ASID Student Chapter Designer Dog House & Cat Condo Fundraiser for Animal Shelter

The University of Southern Mississippi Interior Design program hosted a free seminar April 18 from 2-5 p.m. at the Thad Cochran Center Ballroom II by world-renowned photographer Dennis Anderson on "The Magic of Architectural Photography."

ASID Professional Event
"Come Take a Magic Carpet Ride with Rug Decor", Tuesday, March 13th, 6:00 pm, Gulfport. Guest speaker Penny Shelton from Momeni Rugs shared her knowledge on hand made area rugs, including distinguishing the differences in quality, fibers, styles, and more.
Think Green Event
Hosted by Penny Bonda (eco-editor for Interior Design magazine), the "Think Green" event held in Jackson, Mississippi on February 1st of this year, encouraged both students & current designers to focus more on sustainable design.
ASID Student Awards Day
Southern Miss Interior Design Students Take the Lead at the 2007 ASID Regional Student Awards Day, coordinated in part by Claire Hamilton.

Jaune Quick-to-See Smith Lecture
Held Wednesday, March 7th at 6 p.m. in Marsh Auditorium. The University of Southern Mississippi welcomes Jaune Quick-to-See Smith presenting "A Survey of Contemporary Native American Art". Students, faculty, staff, and members of the community are encourage to attend this lecture made possible by the generosity and support of the Partners for the Arts.
