About the Speakers
|John Hannon, Associate Professor at the University of Southern Mississippi’s School of Construction has been with the university for 10 years after a 20 year estimating career. He has performed research for the Transportation Research Board (TRB) involving 3D design and construction including assistance with the creation of national guidance specifications for Automated Machine Guidance and currently sits on the TRB Committee for Intelligent Construction Systems and Technologies.|
Sandeep Langar is an Assistant Professor at the University of Southern Mississippi’s (USM) School of Construction specializing in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Sustainable Technologies for capital projects. His doctoral research aimed at understanding the implementation of BIM by architectural firms geographically located along the southeastern United States. He also analyzed the usage patterns for BIM by architectural firms for capital projects that used Sustainable Technologies. Sandeep has worked with stakeholders from public and private sectors during his academic and professional career. Prior to being offered a position at USM, Sandeep worked with a Construction Company in Louisiana for the implementation of BIM.
