Advocacy Training Education Advocacy Movement Mississippi

The Self-Advocacy TEAM Mississippi project outcomes are based on the quality assurance area of emphasis.  These include:

  • Train a minimum of 335 youth and young adults with disabilities
  • Have a minimum of 15 self-advocates serving as members on the Mississippi Self-Advocacy Team
  • Have representation of a minimum of ten agencies/organizations participating on the Mississippi Self-Advocacy Team
  • Provide public education, awareness and media to a minimum of 335 members of the general public
  • Educate a minimum of 10 public policymakers on issues related to advocacy/self-advocacy
  • Develop and distribute two different products to policymakers about advocacy/self-advocacy issues
