Are you interested in becoming a teacher?  Then you have found the right place!  The University of Southern Mississippi began in 1910 as a teacher’s college and continues today the tradition of developing outstanding new teachers. Educational Field Experience Office wants to be of service to you as you complete the final stages toward obtaining your education degree and license.  Our purpose is to prepare all students on the Hattiesburg and Gulf Coast campuses for a smooth transition to a successful educational career while providing opportunities to develop and strengthen the skills and competencies needed to become effective educators.

Educational Field Experiences oversees all clinical experiences in schools culminating in the final semester for teacher licensure in the areas of:

Mission

The mission of Educational Field Experiences (EFE) is to provide licensure students with a wide variety of educational experiences that will prepare them to be successful classroom teachers.
