ABOUT DR. LABAT: 

Dr. Labat has served as both a school counselor and administrator at the secondary level for 12 years before transitioning to The University.  He is a graduate of the Harvard University Art of Leadership Institute as well as a member of the Harvard University Principal Center.  He is also a USM Educational Leadership Fellow. Dr. Labat serves on serval local boards including The Leadership Gulf Coast Board of Trustees. His major research interests are in transforming school culture and counselor/principal relations.
